Over the past month the ONE Voice Youth to Youth empowerment groups have been very busy. And with Prom Night right around the corner, the groups are gearing up with some new programs.
More than 20 youths from Spaulding High School's Students Taking Action in Rochester organization, along with the Youth to Youth team at Rochester Middle School, partnered with local Hannaford's stores on North Main Street and at the Lilac Mall, as well as with Market Basket on Milton Road, to hold Sticker Shock events on Jan. 12.

On Thursday, the youth group announced the formation of One Voice Youth to Youth, which includes the Dover group along with groups from other area high schools.
Rochester Youth Group Looks for Safe AlternativesIt was Friday evening. School was out but the football game hadn't yet started. The time was ripe for restless high school students to find trouble.
And that's exactly what members of Students Taking Action in Rochester (STAR) were trying to avoid. So they set up a Battle of the Bands — complete with free pizza and french fries — and invited Spaulding High School students to support their peers and hang out after school.
A toolkit was created and is designed to provide you with everything you need to know to start a new youth group or energize an existing one.
